Self Mixed Chicken Feed
If you grow your own grain or other product then mixing your own chicken feed can be extremely economical. Growing your own feed can be the cheapest way of feeding your chickens but can take a lot of additional effort.
Growing your own feed can allow you to experiment with different quantities of each ingredient to optimise your own feed for your chickens and their requirements.
It is highly recommended (especially for beginner chicken keepers) to use a commercial chicken feed.
